German by birth, half japanese by family, entrepreneur and photographer. 

 

Raised in both an idyllic German countryside village and the bustling metropolis of Tokyo, Magnus was strongly influenced by the two cultures as well as his early professional education in classical music.

 

Magnus started his career with a masters degree in business administration and marketing. After a decade as an entrepreneur in media consulting & production, he eventually fell in love with photography.

Today, he uses the camera as his "instrument" and specializes in people, fashion and conceptual photography.

Being originally inspired by travels around the world - especially Asia (Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia) and the USA -  Magnus quickly developed his cutting edge Black and White style while shooting people with expressive faces and making a dramatic „story-telling“ aesthetics his signature trademark. 
 

Today, he works for both commercial and personal artistic projects.
